How to Watermark a PDF

Watermark PDF stamps text (like "CONFIDENTIAL" or "DRAFT") or a logo image onto every page of a PDF at once, useful for marking a document's status or ownership before sharing it.

  1. 1Open the Watermark PDF tool.
  2. 2Choose a PDF.
  3. 3Pick Text (type your own text, choose font size and color) or Logo (upload a PNG or JPG).
  4. 4Adjust opacity, rotation, and position, or choose Tile to repeat it across each page. The preview updates live.
  5. 5Click "Download Watermarked PDF" to save it.

Frequently asked questions

Does it watermark every page, or just one?

Every page, at the same position and settings. There's currently no option to watermark only a subset of pages.

Does this work on a scanned/image-based PDF?

Yes. The watermark is drawn as a new layer on top of each page's existing content, regardless of whether that page is real text or a scanned image.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. It's watermarked entirely in your browser, using the same local PDF library as this site's other PDF tools. Nothing is sent to a server.
