Scan a Barcode Online

Barcode Scanner reads CODE128, EAN, UPC, CODE39, ITF, and Codabar barcodes from either an uploaded photo or your device's live camera.

  1. 1Open the Barcode Scanner tool.
  2. 2Choose "Upload Image" and select a photo containing a barcode, or "Use Camera" to scan live.
  3. 3The decoded text and barcode format appear as soon as a barcode is found.

Frequently asked questions

Why would it fail to find a barcode in my photo?

Blurry, low-contrast, or heavily angled photos are harder to decode. Try a sharper, more head-on shot with good lighting, or use the live camera mode, which can try multiple frames as you adjust the angle.

Is my photo or camera feed uploaded anywhere?

No. Both the uploaded image and the live camera feed are analyzed entirely in your browser. Nothing is recorded or sent to a server.
